A Walk in the Wyre Forest in Worcestershire

This week to herald the beginning of 2012 - we took a walk in the Wyre Forest in Worcestershire UK- a short drive from home.

The weather was wet and blustery with some good clear sunny spells - so cameras at the ready!

The birch trees stood tall and strong with their silver bark catching the sunlight - the fir trees on the other side of the walkway rustled their branches as the wind swept through the woods.

- of course we means us three!

We parked up in Bewdley, on the way home and walked alongside the River Severn and watched the Swans Ducks and Canadian Geese

A brilliant start to 2012

Happy New Year to you all !

  3. And......went all that way, and didn't take a ride on the Severn Valley Railway? Tut, tut!
This is my old 'drinking area' when I was a 'spotty yoof'. Beer was 2/6d a pint and petrol 1/9d a gallon.
Lovely area. I played my Organ at Arley last year, no sorry, year before.
    Cheers.....Bernard.

  6. I remember visiting a town along the Severn (can't remember the name) but it was famous for having the first iron bridge.

  9. A lovely spot for a walk Jane and I enjoyed your stroll round Ludlow too. We have stayed a few times in our camper van in a little site in an orchard just a 15 minutes or so walk into town. One of our favourite places :)
