D is for Damselfly
It is ABC Wednesday today and D is for Damselfly - a little jewel on the riverbank - this picture was taken last September on the banks of the River Severn
I took lots of shots to get two that were anywhere near presentable - it took ages!! - everytime I thought I was in with a chance - well you know the rest!! - the following shots were of the onlookers.
Swans swimming haughtily by me - as I perched on the River Bank
.... and the ducks scuttled past into the reeds protesting loudly - I am hopefully linking with ABC Wednesday and Nature Notes why not join me ?

These are all delightful shots. The reflection of the swans is wonderful and also good shots of the ducks and damselfly. Carver, ABC Wednesday Team
ReplyDeleteD is for ducks, too. I think you've got it covered this week. Love the little damselflys. Nice shot.
ReplyDeleteDamselflies and dragonflies can be a pain to photograph. When I finally get them in focus, off they go.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of the bugs, especially.

I do like swans. Lovely images.
ReplyDeleteDamselflies are the hardest they are never still, at least you are in with a chance with a dragonfly. Nice captures, I'll dream of summer now.
ReplyDeleteYou did an excellent job capturing these lovely scenes.
